How auctions work

1. Who can bid
Anyone with a free account. You register with your name and Iraqi mobile number — that number is how we reach you if you win, so make sure it is on WhatsApp. Browsing auctions never needs an account. Shop staff cannot bid on our own auctions.
2. Placing a bid
- The first bid must be at least the starting price. Every later bid must be at least the current price + the minimum increment shown on the auction (default 5,000 IQD).
- The quick buttons offer sensible next amounts; you can also type any higher amount.
- You cannot outbid yourself while you are already the highest bidder.
- A bid is binding: it is a commitment to buy at that price if you win. Bids cannot be withdrawn or deleted.
- Some auctions have a Buy now price — a bid at or above it wins instantly.
- Some auctions have a hidden reserve price. If the highest bid stays below it, the item is not sold and no one wins.
3. Timing and anti-sniping
Every auction shows its end time; the countdown follows the shop's server clock, not your phone. If a bid arrives in the last 2 minutes, the end time is extended by 2 minutes so other bidders get a fair chance to respond. This can repeat, so an auction ends only after 2 quiet minutes with no new bid.
4. Winning
When the timer runs out, the highest bid (above the reserve, if any) wins. The winner sees a message on the auction page and on the account page, and we contact them on WhatsApp on the registered number. Other bidders see only a masked version of the winner's name.
5. Payment and pickup
Payment is made in the shop, on collection — cash or bank transfer; there is no online payment. The winner must pay and collect within 3 days (the exact deadline is shown on the auction). Items are tested together with the customer before leaving the shop, and normal shop warranty applies as stated on the invoice.
6. If a winner does not show up
If the item is not collected by the deadline, the winning bid is forfeited and the item is offered to the next highest bidder or relisted. A no-show is recorded on the account; after 2 no-shows the account is blocked from bidding. If you cannot make the deadline, message us before it passes — we are reasonable people.
7. Cancellations
The shop may cancel an auction before it ends (for example if the item is found to be faulty). All bids are then cancelled, the reason is recorded, and the auction shows as cancelled. Bidders never owe anything for a cancelled auction.
8. Fair play
One account per person. Duplicate accounts, bidding with no intention to buy, or coordinated bidding to manipulate prices lead to a permanent block. All bids are logged with time, account and network address.
